3rd Grade Storms Back to Steal the Connecticut Classic

In the most thrilling fashion, Fierce 3rd grade overcame a 16-8 halftime deficit to defeat High Rise by a final score of 30-21 in the Connecticut Classic Championship.

It was our full court pressure defense that forced steal after steal, and we were able to turn that into points. Keegan Fahey led the offensive attack and Jamie Hanrahan was the engine of the defense. Lucas Coneely was blocking shots and rebounding the entire game, while also handling point guard responsibilities against the pressure from the other side. Bennett Harriman contributed timely key baskets for Fierce, while Jackson Wilcheck added a few of his own.

This was a particularly gratifying win because only one day prior, we lost to the same team by 11 points. The first of many tournament victories for this group!
