Fairfield Fierce delivers a competitive, high-level experience to high school basketball players in Fairfield County.

During the winter basketball season, a total of 16 public high schools in Fairfield County come together to compete in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Conference (FCIAC). There is a West and East Division within FCIAC Basketball. The top 8 teams qualify for the playoffs. Fairfield Ludlowe, Fairfield Warde, Staples and Wilton High School are four of the schools within the FCIAC that have featured the most Fairfield Fierce players. Our players have been named FCIAC Player of the Year (Jack Plesser), FCIAC First Team, etc. In addition to these Conference awards, Fierce players have also been selected for the All-State teams and nationally as nominees for the McDonalds All-American game.

Fairfield Prep competes in the Southern Connecticut Conference (SCC), which includes 20 total schools.

Most schools offer freshmen teams, Junior Varsity (JV) teams and then Varsity teams. In addition to school teams during the winter season, high school basketball players compete on their AAU travel teams during the “off-seasons” of spring, summer and fall. Fairfield Fierce offers our own competitive AAU travel teams for high school basketball players in Fairfield County.

For the dedicated high school basketball player that desires to play year-round, Fairfield Fierce offers those opportunities. Fierce delivers competitive teams for 9th through 12th grade boys and girls. These teams typically practice twice per week and participate in weekend tournaments together. Some teams may travel out of state for larger, national tournaments.
