MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL IN FAIRFIELD COUNTY

Fairfield Fierce delivers a competitive, high-level experience to middle school basketball players in Fairfield County.

Middle School typically consists of 6th through 8th grade. During the winter basketball season, some schools in Fairfield County come together to organize their own school league, while some schools do not. Eight schools in Northern Fairfield County compete each year in a competitive league that ends with an exciting playoffs. These schools include: Fairfield Woods, Fairfield Ludlowe, Tomlinson (Fairfield), Hillcrest (Trumbull), Madison (Trumbull), Jockey Holley (Monroe), Wooster (Stratford) and Flood (Stratford). Fairfield Fierce’s Scott Lipow is the current coach of Fairfield Woods Middle School.

In addition to school teams during the winter season, middle school basketball players compete on their town travel teams. Fairfield Fierce offers our own competitive travel teams. The largest league in the area is the Fairfield County Basketball League, and this League consists of over 325 teams! There are typically three different division levels (A, B and C) to organize towns by similar competitition. Each team must be comprised of players from only that town. For example, all of the players for a Fairfield town travel team must reside in the Town of Fairfield.

For the dedicated middle school basketball player that desires to play year-round during the spring and fall seasons, Fairfield Fierce offers those opportunities. Fierce delivers competitive teams for 6th grade, 7th grade and 8th grade. These teams typically practice twice per week and participate in weekend tournaments together.
