5th Grade pulled off the upset today in the Championship Game with a 46 - 32 win over ACC, to win the first tournament of the spring season! Cam Lominy and Paxton Pritchett came through with dominant performances on the biggest stage to lead Fierce.

4th Grade opened up their spring season with four dominant wins on their way to winning the Zero Gravity Spring Showdown! They defeated Queens Defenders, Jamaica Bulldawgz and Positive Direction. Congratulations boys!

Congratulations to Fierce alum Carlo Noecker on earning FCIAC First Team honors. Carlo played Fierce from 5th through 8th grade, and through years of hard work developed into one of the top players in the area. He also ranks as one of the top rebounders in Fierce history. Proud of you Carlo.

We are beyond proud to share that long-time Fierce player Jack Plesser has been recognized as 2025-26 Player of the Year for the Liberty League ! Jack started with us in 5th grade and played all the way through high school. His hard work and eye-opening improvement year by year were amazing to watch. Jack's junior season made history, as he climbed to sixth on Union College's all-time single-season scoring list with 566 points and his 22.6 points per game average is also fifth-best by a Union player. In only three seasons, Jack already ranks 13th in Union College basketball history with 1,263 points and his 16.4 points per game scoring average is currently ninth-best among Union basketball players all-time. Led by the one and only Coach Tara Bennett, our 5th grade girls squad finished their fall season in the best possible way. The girls dominated CT Northstars and DTX on the way to the Championship, and then topped CT Focus (Waterbury) in the final "standing-room only" game by a score of 28-26. Amazing season for this team!

4th Grade won their second tournament of the fall basketball season by coming out on top in all four of their games this weekend. They defeated ACC twice, Triple Double Basketball, and Baseline Hoops. Kroi Saliu and Benji Scholz made huge impacts in the paint area. Cooper Warnke and Marty Lipow controlled the ball with stellar guard play. Lucas Conneely delivered top notch defensive performances. Bennett Harriman showcased timely mid-range baskets, and Jackson Wilcheck came through with his own clutch three point shots. Colin barney and Jace McHale were playing excellent defense and collecting rebounds. Bobby Bourassa was finding teammates with assists all over the court.

Our 3rd Grade Boys have displayed some jarring, eye-opening improvement this fall season. After struggling in the opening weekend, the team has continued to work hard and come together. This all peaked when they captured the Zero Gravity tournament championship in Westchester this weekend. Led by the scoring of Evan Magaletta, Brendan Maietta and James Newton -- Fierce won all 3 games!

Picking up where they off from last season, our 4th grade boys team found themselves down 10 in the first half against Grind City (Queens, NY) in the Championship Game. Then down 25-18 in the second half with 8 minutes remaining, the boys rallied together a thrilling comeback to pull out the title in their opening tournament of the Fall AAU season. Bobby Bourassa made clutch plays off the bench for Fierce, with a corner 3 point shot and then an 'and-1' basketball from the lane off an inbounds play. Marty Lipow was everywhere on the court with rebounds, steals and assists. Lucas Conneely controlled the ball and drilled a clutch 3 point shot during the comeback. Benji Scholz and Bennett Harriman contributed key baskets and steals. Jackson Wilcheck did a bit of everything in contributing to the win. Kroi Saliu played tough inside for Fierce. To win the Metropolitan Grand Opener, Fierce 4th grade also defeated Greenwich Stars and 6th Borough.
