FIERCE DEVELOPMENTAL BASKETBALL LEAGUE (FDBL)
Fierce Developmental Basketball League (FDBL) is a unique program in Fairfield County designed for 1st and 2nd grade boys and girls. This one-of-a-kind program offers this younger age group the opportunity to play organized basketball games for the first time!
Each Saturday morning session begins with 30 minutes of skills training — the players work in groups of 10 players or less on dribbling, shooting and passing. The skills clinic is immediately followed by a mini game complete with coaches, officials, scoreboards, jerseys, 9 foot hoops and spectators.
An eight-game schedule of games is played, with new teams each week, and spectators are welcome for both the practice and game portions of each session. No one in the area offers as meaningful and well-organized leagues for this age group!
